Department of Dairy Development has presence in all districts. The district level activities are headed by Deputy Directors in district offices while there are separate Deputy Directors heading the 5  Dairy Training Centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Palakkad and Kozhikode. Also there are Technical Assistants in district offices and Quality Control Officers having control of quality related activities in various districts. The grass root level offices are Dairy Extension Service Units mostly in block panchayat level headed by Dairy Extension Officers. Dairy Farm Instructors are there in the Dairy Extension Service Units. There is one  State Fodder Farm in Valiyathura and a State Dairy Laboratory at Pattom, both in Thiruvananthapuram  District. Regional laboratories are situated in Kottayam, Kasargod and in Alathur. The map below shows the details.
